I was doing so well for a while there sending out blog postings monthly, then went completely off the rails in March, April and May. Sigh. It’s been a very busy time in Applied Arts, but I’ll endeavor to get back on schedule. Here are few reminders and news items from the across the Division and the College:
I hope everyone had a fun-filled Rendezvous weekend. Unfortunately, one of my littles was under the weather all weekend, so that put a bit of a damper on the festivities, but we still got outside for skiing, maple treats, sledding, and snow fort building.

Happy (soon-to-be) end of term everyone! The College's hallways are growing increasingly quiet, so I’m assuming many of you are already on leave, getting out those kerchiefs and caps and settling down for long winter’s naps. And while we’re on the subject of rest, I wish all of you the very best for the holidays. I hope they’re full of family, friends, good food, recreation, and deep sleep. Now on to a few updates to round out the fall term and put 2017 in Applied Arts to bed.

I’m back from SOVA’s Year-End Exhibition—and what an exhibition! The students’ work was remarkable. They may be just starting out in the art world, but their work consistently displays an uncommon maturity. It was a great pleasure to acknowledge their creativity by handing out some well-earned certificates.
