Bio

I am a Project Enhancement Officer at Cold Climate Innovation, a part of the Community, Innovation, and Development division at Yukon College. I grew up in Newfoundland and completed my studies at Memorial University, focusing on environmental sciences, impacts of climate change, mitigation, and clean technologies. In 2014, I relocated to Whitehorse, Yukon to work with Yukon College and industry in the mining and energy sectors to complete research that would support solutions to industry problems.

As my professional life evolved, my focus moved from applied research to supporting individuals and communities to develop solutions as a business opportunities. As a Project Officer, I partner with innovators, entrepreneurs, and communities to grow their ideas and businesses, through concept to commercialization.

As a member of the Cold Climate Innovation team, I get to work closely with Yukoners to foster their ideas - whether that is done by connecting them with experts in their field, or financial support to grow their innovation into reality.
